Dr. Gerut provides anti-aging treatments via several modalities, one of which is via injectables, such as Dysport to relax facial wrinkles and injectable fillers (Restylane® is an example of a hyaluronic filler) to fill surface wrinkles, plump the lips, cheeks, and the backs of the hands.

Skin Rejuvenation

( Acne Treatments, Chemical Peels)

Long Island plastic surgeon Dr. Zachary Gerut and his staff provide a full complement of skin rejuvenation treatments and procedures.

IPL

Intense Pulsed Light Treatments (IPL) is designed to minimize dark spots and to lessen the redness of rosacea. It improves the color and texture of facia skin and can reverse some of the visible damage that was caused by sun exposure (called photoaging). IPL, often called photofacial, can also improve brown, red or splotchy skin due to a health condition.

Liquid Rhinoplasty

Dr. Gerut uses filler to make changes in the shape of your nose. There are different fillers that can be used; some last only a year (and can be reversed if you choose) and others last longer.

Fat Injections

Your body fat is an excellent soft tissue filler that can be used instead of popularly advertised fillers (Restylane, Juvéderm, etc) to treat; facial aging such as frown lines, smile lines, and other wrinkles and even some facial sagging; to treat aging of the hands and to improve facial definition in the cheeks and chin. Fat can also be used to fill in dented areas, such as some scars.

Lip Plumping

Most young people have full lips. Unfortunately, as we age, the skin between the upper lip and the nose begins to lengthen. The result is that the upper lip actually gets longer and thinner, turning inward and downward. You can easily see this in older individuals when they speak: notice that you can see their bottom teeth, but not their upper teeth, which is the exact opposite of the appearance of younger individuals when they speak. For those with a shorter distance between the nose and top of the lip (the vermillion), this lengthening will be less noticeable. Men can hide it with a moustache.
